One of the Biggest Hinderances to Healing and Deliverance - Teaching on Unforgiveness

I discuss and teach on one of the biggest hindrances to healing and deliverance. I then go through prayer to remove this hindrance help you prepare for deliverance. This info. in this video is vital for your deliverance and healing.

This passage speaks to a serious issue we all deal with and may not have known what Satan has done through the wrongs of others.

In Matthew 18, Jesus talks about a person that was forgiven a huge amount of debt, but he would not forgive someone else’s small debt. What Jesus states at the end of this parable is paramount of occurs in the spirit world.

Matthew 18:21-35

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Tormentors

Those tormentors Jesus mentioned are demons.

Unforgiveness lowers God’s protecting bars down and the tormentors outside the gates will take over our souls and bodies. God does not makes the demons do it. It's just the fact that unforgiveness will allow demons to enter us directly.

~Satan has tricked us into thinking we have forgiven people. We actually think that we do not have anything against people that have wronged us.~

Signs that we have unforgiveness, bitterness, and resentment in our heart towards someone:

  • Continuing with the story of how you were hurt and it’s been weeks, months, years, and even decades.
  • Speaking negative things about someone.
  • Complaining and criticising a person or situation.
  • Sarcasm is a definite sign of bitterness.
  • Staying in hurt and sadness about a situation.
  • Not being able to be around a person. Do you go out of your way to not be near a person?
  • Gossiping, slander, and accusation are signs of unforgiveness.
  • Any rejection will lead to unforgiveness if you do not clearly make an effort to forgive.

Ought

Ought is the idea of something being owed to you. There is a debt that needs to be paid in order to be satisfied. They need or should be saying they are sorry.

When you are complaining there is most definitely ought. Where there is ought of any kind, there is unforgiveness. If someone or a situation does not meet your expectations, there is ought. If you think someone ought to or should do something or fix something and they don’t, there is ought.

Ought is not necessarily from someone’s sin. It can simply be someone annoying you. It could be a long line, or a grumpy look, or the food/service at a restaurant that does not meet your expectation.

Ought is cleverly hidden by demons so that they have legal rights to be inside us causing problems.

Politics is another deceptive means of ought Satan has masterminded today in the church.

Are you complaining and speaking negative about a politician or something you read, heard, or watched through news? Republicans, democrats, independents, the news continues to kill people literally through all kinds of unforgiveness. This was me just a few years ago. I had to sever all news outlets.

Diseases of all kinds kill people in the church due to ought and it can be through bitterness of something in the news.

We can also have ought against ourselves for past failures.

We can even have ought against God.

We feel disappointed or do not understand why we are in a situation and God has not responded how we desire.

We perform in the flesh and expect God to perform for us.

Bottom line, Satan works to create ought with our relationships with others, ourselves, and even God.

The first key to being set free is recognizing the breach in our relationships.

Matthew 6:14-15 - For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Deliverance and healing begins with forgiving.

Turning Our Whole Life to Jesus

If you want to be set free from bondages Satan has you in, you need turn your whole life over to God.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. You redeemed me by Your blood and I belong to You, and I want to live for You. I am asking you to be the complete boss of every area of my life. I submit to you completely. I confess all my sins, known and unknown. I'm sorry for them all and I renounce them. I forgive all others as I want You to forgive me. Forgive me now and cleanse me with Your blood. I thank You for the blood of Jesus Christ which cleanses me now from all sin. I come to You now as my deliverer. You know my special needs. The thing that binds, that torments, that defiles; that evil spirit, that unclean spirit. I claim the promise of Your word in Joel 2:32, "Whosoever that calleth on the name of the Lord shall be delivered." So I call upon You now. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, deliver me and set me free. Satan, I renounce you and all your works. loose myself from you, in the name of Jesus. I command you, Satan, and all evil spirits to leave me in Jesus' name. Amen!

Repentance PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, in Jesus name, I confess my sins of idolatry, pride, rebellion, occultism, witchcraft, sexual sin, unbelief and all iniquity and I thank you for forgiveness. (1 John 1:9) I stand in the gap for All my ancestors and confess their sins of idolatry, pride, rebellion, occultism, witchcraft, sexual sin, unbelief, and all iniquity and claim forgiveness for their sins. (Leviticus 26:40) And Heavenly Father, I forgive All my ancestors, others, and myself, for all sins and any curses in my family's bloodlines that may have affected me. I also forgive myself for every sin I ever committed. Amen.

Breaking Curses Prayer

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that on the cross you were made a curse (Galatians 3:13) that I might be redeemed from the curse, and enter into the blessing (Galatians 3:14) and because of what you did, Lord Jesus, right here, right now, in your precious name, I release myself from every and all curses over me and my family, and I claim the blessing that you purchased with your blood (Genesis 24:1). Thank you, Lord Jesus. I praise You, Amen.

Now let’s get rid of the number one block to healing and deliverance. If you have unforgiveness towards someone and you’re unwilling to work on forgiving them, don’t bother asking or seeking God to heal you or deliver you.

When you forgive someone, you are not condoning or saying the sin they did is ok. Some people have done horrific things towards you or others. God still will deal with each of us accordingly. We forgive because we are commanded to and God forgave us a lifetime of sin.

Forgiveness PRAYER:

Lord, sometimes I have not loved, but have resented certain people who have hurt or disappointed me. I call upon You, Lord, to help me forgive them. By a decision of my will, freely forgive all who have ever harmed or wronged me. lay down all bitterness, criticism, all resentment, unforgiveness, and all hatred. I specifically forgive (name them, both living and dead} for everything they did (name the things). I let go of all the ought. They do not owe me anything. I also ask You to bless them, Lord, if they are still alive, to be close to You. I also do now forgive and accept myself in the name of Jesus Christ. If I hold any disappointment towards you God, I am sorry and I forgive you God. I know that you are good and just towards me. Help me to be forgiving. Amen.

Activity

Make a literal numbered list of all the people in your life that have hurt you significantly from childhood to present. Pray Mt. 5:44 (personalize it) over each of them exactly as the verse is written. You must not only forgive them but release the ought (release the debt) in your soul for them. Pray sincerely and fervently for them Mt. 6:14-15.

Important Take Away

The devil doesn't want you to be aware of any areas in your life he has been hiding and using against you. He will hide in plain sight. Pray Psalm 139:23-24 for God to show you more areas of unforgiveness.
